The final episodes of BoJack Horseman are scheduled to be debut on Netflix on January 31st. The climax of the popular animated show is eagerly anticipated and, judging from the events of the final season so far, fans can expect to see BoJack's past come back to haunt him after the troubled horse finally embarks on a path of redemption.
Many theories are speculating as to BoJack's fate and the overall endgame of the show. Fans are hoping that their favorite characters will get the happy ending they crave - but this is BoJack, after all. Here are ten mind-blowing theories for the final season of BoJack Horseman.
10 BoJack Dies
This would a dark ending to the show, but BoJack Horseman has shown several times that it doesn't shy away from darker storylines. Fans have followed BoJack for six seasons and, despite his despicable behavior, there is a sympathetic element to the troubled horse that people relate to.
The opening credits might be a clue as to BoJack's fate. The '90s icon is shown falling backward into his swimming pool as Diane and Mr. Peanutbutter look on in horror. This could be foreshadowing the final scene of the show and spoiling BoJack's fate.
9 BoJack Fakes His Death
If the opening credits of BoJack Horseman are foreshadowing the titular character's fate, then a different endgame could still be possible. After BoJack falls into the water, the credits cut to another scene of him casually lying on a pool lounging in the sunshine, which could be a hint that BoJack will fake his death.

This theory is slightly more outlandish, but is certainly within the realms of BoJack Horseman's themes. BoJack chases and clings to fame as a means of validation, but this could return to haunt him if an obsessed fan of his suddenly comes forward after the troubled horse makes peace with his past.
It is rather late to introduce another character, but it would be interesting to see how BoJack navigates the situation. If the opening credits are hinting at his tragic fate then an obsessed fan could be responsible, with BoJack's fame killing him in the end.
6 BoJack Reads His Father's Book
BoJack Horseman explores the titular character's strained and abusive relationship with his parents. His mother Beatrice dies off-screen in-between seasons four and five, and his father Butterscotch passed away before the events of the show.
Not much is known about BoJack's father except that he wrote a book that was unsuccessful after struggling to write for years. In the final installment of the show, BoJack could finally read the book his father dedicated his life to and fans can learn more about the character.
5 Hollyhock Saves BoJack
One of the healthiest relationships in BoJack's life is his relationship with his younger sister. Hollyhock first appeared in the fourth season of BoJack Horseman, and was thought to be his daughter until BoJack learns that she is the daughter of his father Butterscotch and their former maid Henrietta.
BoJack seems to genuinely care for Hollyhock and has been making efforts to improve himself following his stay in rehab. With his past guaranteed to come back to haunt him, Hollyhock could be the person who saves BoJack from himself.
4 Diane And BoJack Give Into Their Feelings
BoJack and Diane are very different people who, by appearances, shouldn't like each other. BoJack has been predatory with women and hurt the people around him, making him someone who Diane should be repulsed by. Yet the two share several similarities and understand each other in a way that the other characters don't.
In the final installment of the show, BoJack and Diane could give in to their feelings and share one night of passion. Whether this leads to anything serious remains unlikely, however.
3 Todd Inherits BoJack's House
Todd is arguably the most innocent character in the show, and if any character deserves a happy ending, it's him. He has accidentally come into wealth before in the show and happily gave it away, and if anything happens to BoJack, he could find himself inheriting another fortune.
This would be a bittersweet moment where Todd realizes that BoJack did care for him despite his actions. BoJack owes Todd an apology for the way he has treated his best friend, and leaving him the house he stayed in for so long would be an emotional farewell.
2 Judah And Princess Carolyn Get Together
Princess Carolyn is another BoJack character who deserves a happy ending. The dedicated career cat juggled her job and her new commitments as a mother in the first half of season six, and hopefully, she will find love in the final episodes.
PC's former assistant Judah Mannowdog returned in season six to help with the assistants' strike and resume his position at VIM. He still shares chemistry with Princess Carolyn, and it would a sweet ending for her character if she were to finally find love with someone who is the opposite of BoJack.

In the first season of BoJack Horseman, BoJack's publisher hires Diane to write a book about the troubled horse's life, which elevates his career whilst revealing dark secrets about his life. The final season could return to this storyline, with a posthumous film about BoJack's life being made.
BoJack played Secretariat in his biopic during season two, and it would be interesting to see another character repeat the experience playing BoJack. BoJack's life has been largely in the public eye, and it makes sense that his death would be too.
